1975 Jeep ( Kit Car )
Chassis No. 0001
Built by manufacturer 1975, registered 1976
Possible manufacturer - JAGO ?
Running gear - Vauxhall Viva HA
14" widened steel wheels
Main body was glass fibre, with steel wings, bonnet and dash panel.
Possible prototype to test Vauxhall mechanics as viable alternative to Ford Anglia (which had been the donor car for Jago Jeeps previously).
In 1976 Jago changed to Ford Escort as the new donor car.
I suspect that Fords were cheaper and more plentiful (Escorts love to rust !), and there was a larger selection of engines ( 1100cc, 1300cc, 1600cc, 2000cc, 3000cc).
Stronger running gear (my rear axle shattered with my fast-road tuned 1156cc engine).
Better brakes (disc braked Ford struts) as opposed to poor drum brakes.

A flimsy piece of french rubbish that was falling apart around me.
Bodywork made of tin foil, that would dent every time you even breathed on it !
Fast, and introduced me to the wonders of Turbocharged cars.
I suspect that you would die horribly if you hit anything more solid that a piece of polystyrene !
DO NOT EVER BUY ONE :-(
