History :
On 12th October 2002 (13 years to the day after first registration) I bought this 1989 Toyota Supra Turbo from a salvage yard for £600. It was described as `having minor scratches and high mileage`. The scratches were little more than everyday wear and tear on the original mica black paint, and the mileage was 170,000 miles. The car has had one previous owner, and that was a prestigious London corporation, and was one of the company's directors cars. There are many new parts fitted and I would guess that anything that went wrong and needed replacing was fixed at any cost. The car drives better than many lower mileage Supra`s that I've driven and the engine is very willing (I suspect the engine has been replaced recently with a brand new unit). The paint has been polished too much and is starting to wear thin in a few places, and the leather on the drivers seat is ripped and in poor condition. The rest of the car is in remarkably good condition, having suffered no accident damage, and only minor rusting on just the 2 rear wheel arches.
